Hello,

Whats the best way to recover from back injury? What worked best for you.

I was off 4 days from gym because I was feeling really tired. Went back today and one my second set of squat I heard a crack on the lower back.
I stopped, now an hour later can still feel it pretty hurtful.

If it makes any diff, Im 30 year old, 5’7”, 90kg doing 5x5.

Thank you all!

The best way to recover from a back injury is to see a doctor so they can determine what's happened and advice you on how best to recover.

What works for me is to avoid keeping it motionless for long periods. So when sitting, sort of wiggle my hips around periodically. Improves circulation i suppose. A heating pad helps too. :+1:

if ice/heat doesn't help in the next 24 hours then see a doctor/physio

Hearing an unusual/abnormal crack and feeling pain is an indicator that you should see a doctor.

IF you'd said pop or felt or indicated that you've heard/felt this before, my advice would be different.

    See a doctor.

Until you see a doctor, don't stress it, and don't let it "lock up"/be still
