Huge loss the first week of Paleo?

I decided last Saturday to follow a strict Paleo plan for at least 30 days to see how it worked for me. I'm still tracking all of my food and I'm eating all of the calories allotted to me by MFP for a 2 lb weekly loss. Somehow I'm down 26 lbs from last Saturday... only 7 days.

I'm going to borrow a few seconds on a friend's scale today to make sure mine isn't malfunctioning, but I suppose I'm wondering if this is even slightly normal? Is your body supposed to purge a lot of water and/or toxin weight once you stop eating processed food?

I've tried many different diets, including lowish carb (just under 100g per day, while I'm eating between 40 and 60 g net carbs on Paleo) and I've never experienced a loss like this.

Obviously this kind of loss isn't sustainable, so if you have experienced a massive drop like this the first week or two of a new eating plan, what were the repercussions for you?

Water weight. Any "toxins" that your body "stores" will likely be slowly eliminated fat soluble compounds that will just be concentrated in remaining body fat as you lose weight.

Lipo is the only way to "remove" these.

Either your scale is broken or you need to go to a doc like right now! Loss through water weight & Glycogen stores loss shouldn't be more than 10-12 lbs if you have only 100 lbs to lose
