Large beginning losses are water weight. 1/2 to a pound a week is a good rate of weight loss. 1 1/2 if you're lucky! If you plan on keeping it off, don't even worry about "how long" it takes to lose. You are going to have to do this for life! I know what I'm talking about. I lost over a hundred pounds twenty years ago, and gained it all back. Now I'm in the same boat again! This time I'm older and wiser! Best of luck to you!1
