Hi everyone,
Just curious to find out other ppls experience with their HR monitors. My Suunto gave up the ghost after about 5 years and I replaced with a Polar F7.
I never take my calories readings as gospel and I'm not too concerned about them because I know through experience and consistency what my daily calories should be but the Polar is recording much higher calories burns than the Suunto did.
Admittedly the Suunto used to give me higher readings and I always suspected that it was underestimating as it got older (less that 200 calories burned during an Insantiy workout!! surely that can't be right I feel like i'm dying lol) - but I was also losing weight at the time and updating my stats regularly so wondered it that was why - I was just getting fitter.
Anyway just curious - mainly because I used it this weekend on my 12 mile run and it logged 1200 calories compared to about 700 on the Sunnto. I always eat back my running calories - mainly coz i'm starving afterwards but a 500 calorie difference could result in overeating by quite a bit if not accurate.
Anyone else share their experience with different brands?
