Need to lose weight to live

Hi everyone. I here because I need to lose weight and I need support to accomplish this goal. My cousin Betty lost 88 pounds with your help, I am hoping that you can do the same for me. I am extremely overweight, had open heart surgery a year and a half ago and I feel like I need to lose weight or I am not going to live. I can barely walk, my knees are giving out and my back is hurting. I don't want to be skinny, I want to be healthy. I would appreciate any help/suggestions that anyone has. Thank you all!

    Use your food diary and a food scale. Hit your calorie target every day.

    Hi Helen, I have just started yesterday too. You sound like you have some things to really motivate you. How old are you? I'm 51 yrs. I'm happy to be your friend and travel this journey together. I'm 97 kgs. My ideal body weight is around 67 to 70kgs. So I have about 30kgs to lose! But for the moment my goal is 80kgs and if I can there I will be thrilled with myself. It's LONG way ahead though...and we just have to do it 1 kg at a time.

    stop buying junk/high calorie/low nutrient food. i think this is the first step in defense against excess weight. if you don't buy it, you won't have it to eat. if someone gifts you with some, throw it away or refuse it before the package gets opened. stock your kitchen with healthy foods that you like.
