Calorie Cycling!? What do you think?

Hey guys and ladies! I've started on my new diet and feeling pretty good. However I'm very familiar with plateaus from the past and want to avoid it at all cost (within reason). I've decided to do calorie cycling (never used this diet before). I'm going to give an example using *Random* numbers for an idea.
Say I eat 1500 cals 7days straight, 2000 next two days, 1000 next two days, then back to 1500 for 7 days. To trick the metabolism from adapting to 1500 cals (because of the higher cal days). This would still equate to eating 1500 daily throughout the diet. I've read research and it seems positive. What do you guys think?

Its not necessary; adaptions are going to happen. I think understanding plateaus or better yet what it is that is happening to you when you stall and how to overcome it.
Doing refeeds/diet breaks during your weight loss will prove a priceless tool to use during your weightloss.

Refeeds and diet breaks good. Calorie cycling may be necessary for someone who is very lean already. Measuring your results between TOM, exercise, and calorie cycling will be a nightmare.
Appropriate goal setting and expectations. Measurement and adjustment strategy. Refeeds and diet breaks.... I think those may be of more benefit to you than cycling.3
