I have synced the map my walk app which was syncing but then there was a huge adjustment due to this under armour giving me a calorie count that I feel is way too high?! Grateful if someone could explain what under armour is as I have disabled it just now as I fell it's an inaccurate reading?? Thanks

Well, Under Armour is the corporate owner of MyFitnessPal, so that's part of it.

Then, MapMyWalk is also something that Under Armour owns.

So, when you inform MapMyWalk, and you didn't mention it but I think you're talking about a FitBit or Apple Watch or some such device which is partnered with MyFitnessPal, of your walk, it will instantly share that information with myfitnesspal and myfitnesspal will, because you set it up this way, adjust your exercise log and update your calorie budget.

The question I can finally ask is, how far did you walk, how fast, and how many calories did myfitnesspal credit you for that?

    ??
    Under Armour is:
The owner of this and several other fitness-sites (such as MapMy_Whatever, endomondo, MyFitnessPal, ...)
    in addition
UnderArmour is one of the largest manufacturers of sports apparel

What should the Movie-company founded by Charles Chaplin have to do with it?

So if they are the owners of this and the map my sites, why give two separate readings for the same activity?

    Insufficient data
Without access to your account-settings an answer is limited to more or less wild guessing.

You may want to contact the support-team of MFP and/or MapMyWalk for further help

My stock answer to all underarmour software glitches is "H1B programmers".

OP: You should just unsynch MapMyWalk from MFP.

That's what I did because I did not like the way cal adjustments"were made, which I condidered grossly overstated & inaccurate.

When you do that, you can just enter the walk cals directly into your log, which is what I do for all my "extra" exercises unaccounted for in my TDEE.
