ugh !! i cant seem to get back into this like i want...some years ago i was working our regularly, and eating right all while logging it all here, which resulted in me losing just over 50 pounds in a year and a half or so..after moving to a different part of the state, my whole routine changed..i didnt feel as comfortable walking this area alone as i did at the previous place. then i started school, and i stress ate..fast forward to now..all that weight was gained back plus some..i joined the gym 5 months ago, but havent been there in 4..i just cant seem to find my motivation to get my @$$ to the gym, and i love food too much (unhealthy food at that) the only exercise i get is being at work, which is me being on my feet and moving for 7 hours..when i wear my hrm to work, i can burn on average 1500 a day 3-5 days a week..anyone else in the same spot, or has anyone gotten past this bump in the road ?? i can definitely use the support and help i can get..i look forward to the replies, and yall are more than welcome to add me (just make sure you let me know you saw this post) ;)

Start a food diary. Start recording what you eat and crunching numbers. Give yourself plenty of time for the learning curve. Counting calories is a pain at first, but after a while you will have most of the numbers down pat.

Calculate a modest calorie deficit and aim at your number. You will soon find that to hit your number it helps to have some kind of plan for each day and week.

Again give yourself time to adjust. Don’t set your calories at the most aggressive available number. Try to find something you can live with long term. Don’t go to pieces if/when you eat too much. Just keep tracking no matter what.

Exercise isn’t necessary to lose weight and is overrated as a weight loss strategy. Lots of other benefits though. When do you plan to go to the gym? Have you tried weekends? Do you plan a healthy after work snack?

I’ve lost 100lbs and kept it off for years. But I was stuck a long time about 2/3 to goal. Wouldn’t have made it if I hadn’t started tracking my intake.
