Progress, and a change of mind set!

So I’ll keep it short, September 2017 I took a picture of myself and was horrified with what I saw, so decided to lose the fat and try and get a more defined and strong physical appearance. So from September to Jan through a change in life style and exercise I lost 2 stone, and if anything probably lost too much weight. I am now in the building process, but struggling with adapting to working so hard to lose fat and now having to eat more and put weight on.
Has anyone done a bulk / cut process at the same time? So Building strength but keeping fat down?, there is so much contradiction around cardio losing gains etc. I have attached pictures in order of progress, any help would be appreciated
