Hello, I just signed up today. I am 56 and need to lose more than 100 pounds. I am also under 5 ft so in order to lose 1.5 pounds a week I have to eat 1250 calories which doesn't seem like very many to me. I am thinking that I will have to eat more fiber and protein in order to stave off hunger.

I’m 59 and also need friends for accountability and support. I only have 10 more pounds to lose, but they are a stubborn 10.

Just turned 50. I have 17 pounds to hit my goal of the weight I left high school at, and many hours of exercise to mold that weight into the reflection I want to look at

I'm 51 and have been back to MFP several times over the years. I had one big drop about seven years ago ( 45 lbs ). Since then I've had hic ups where I put 25 back on , took it off, put 15 back on, took it off, this time put 25 back on and am trying to take it off. I sent you a friend request.

I'm turning 53 today! My goal for 2018 is to lose 50 pounds. I've only lost 2, need more exercise. Just had a physical and my heart and lungs are in tip-top shape. No more excuses for not exercising!

soon to be 55 here. Joined Weight Watchers -- AGAIN -- and I've gained! My pic shows me sleeveless, and I HATE to go sleeveless with arms the size of young women's thighs. My goal is realistic at 175 (for now). I'm hovering around 210 and cannot, for the life of me, get into ONEderland. Need help and motivation from meno-sisters.

54 here and trying the 5:2 intermittent fasting approach. I've lost/re-gained the same 5-8 pounds for too long and need to try a different approach.

I had a thread on here that I am starting up again for those over 50 I used to run too and had a couple of injuries and trying to build up my exercise as well. I have more to lose than you. I got busy when I went to back to work full time and gained the 40 lbs I lost. Only 2 of us have been posting. I am just trying to eat healthy at home.

Hi there! I'm new! I'll be 51 this year. I'm a lapsed distance runner, martial artist, strength trainer and paleo/primal eater. I need to get back on the horse (literally... I haven't felt good enough to ride my horse since last fall). I'd love to make some friends here and help inspire while I get inspired!
