Yep, title says it. How do you get rid of your unwanted hair? Do you shave it, wax it, laser it or something else? What products have you found that aid you in your desire to rid yourself of unwanted hair?
We could go further: Why do you feel the need to rid yourself of hair in those areas? Unsightly, itchy? Maintaining an appearance, etc.?
Considering trying out other methods than what I currently use because it's tiresome and I'm tired of nicking myself or having to waste 30+ minutes to shave, lol. Mostly, I am bored and want something to discuss that's not gonna get me locked away in MFP jail.

If you don't mind my asking.. how long between sessions? I hate that shaving has such a short turn around time (less than a week!). Would rather just wax it all off and be done with it, but going to someone else to do it seems a bit awkward (for me). How painful are either of those? Not bad?0 -
I am doing laser for my arm pits, its been amazing. ive had 2 treatments and the results are amazing. I would love to do a full leg and brazillain but it would be a lot of money. I hate shaving1

I hate body hair...I shave but keep meaning to book in for laser. I also wonder about those home lasers like Trios. Waxing doesn't bother me, but its not that great really, longevity wise
I was a sucker and bought the NoNo a few years ago...super gross, it 'burns' the hair off at the skin level basically...Don't do it1 -

Arizona's laws are super lenient on lasering so it's very inexpensive here. I have PCOS and therefore I was VERY HAIRY in places girls just should not have hair. But for $89 a month, I have a full body membership for laser hair removal. I still pluck and wax my eyebrows, but everything else is lasered smooth.
My arms and underarms have been somewhat difficult to clear, but my full torso, most of my Brazilian (front and back), full glutes, and my legs are hair-free. My legs have had the best results to where we have stopped treating it because last time we checked, the tech only found one hair on the back of my knee. Legs are usually the most receptive to laser treatment, not just for me.
Each state is different though. Some states require a doctor to perform lasering so they are the most expensive. Arizona only requires a class and a test for a license, and the facility must be supervised by a doctor (who doesn't have to be on-site). It allows for us to have such inexpensive treatment options.6 -

I shave but have an epilator that I never use because I'm just too lazy. It is just for my benefit anyway, there is no one who cares if I go full bear skin during the winter (extra insulation). Plus, I am so blonde that the hair barely shows and so I can get away with not shaving (my legs at least). It just feels weird to have my leg hair blowing in the breeze, so I shave for that reason alone1

I had full Brazilian laser around 5 years ago. After stopping it came all back. So now I shave that area. I use an epilator for my legs. It's nice because you are smooth for around 3 weeks. It does hurt like a mofo when you first start using it. I shave my armpits. I thread my eyebrows at a eyebrow place.1
-
Most often I just shave, but occasionally before trips and stuff I’ll go in for a Brazilian wax/sugaring and armpits.
I have a lot of face fuzz, and have played with the idea of doing the full face - any of you ladies done it before? We’re results pretty good? Or weird and nightmarish?1 -
I have bad issues with ingrown hair so there's no chance in Hell I'm ever shaving or removing hair in some places, lol!!!
I used to have an epilator but ingrown hair was crazy and it still came back too fast... now I just use a razor for my armpits and legs every other day in the Summer. And I have to use an exfoliating glove or same, ingrown hair all over.
I wish I could do laser for my face hair (I swear you get more as you get old, and ingrown hair there sucks) but it's just too expensive to justify. So I just pluck those out.3 -
When I used to shave my head, I used a Gillette Fusion. But, grew tired of going through a pack of blades in under a month and paying about $45-50 just in blades alone. So, just let my hair grow out again and get it cut. I switched to an old style double-edge safety razor to shave my face, as it's less trash and far less expensive. Slowly working my way towards using a straight edge.
For the body, I use clippers for everything but my back. For my back, since I live solo, I bought the BakBlade2.0. Works great, so long as I spend a little extra time ensuring there's no large patches of hair left. Usually trim the body hair down every 4-6 weeks or else it gets a little too long for my like.1 -
Haven't been to a barber in 30 years. I trim my beard daily and take a razor to my head occasionally. Started losing my hair in the 70's. Must have saved a fortune in hair care products in the last 3 decades. Spent it on Bourbon, BBQ and Cigars.8

Okay.. what the heck is an epilator? I live under rocks and barely associate with anything that doesn't have fur.

Razor all the way! I've waxed the old back a few times as I get older I've got some spots showing up on the shoulder area and such and OMFG it hurts like a mutha fawkr. I give ladies who do the nether regions major props because there's no way in he double hockey sticks anyone would be doing that any where near my privates.2

See, this is kinda my fear. I think I could easily wax my legs no problem, but not in between. Too sensitive, too many folds and small spaces and seems like way too much of a hassle. Not like shaving is any less of a hassle, but so far.. it's been way less painful than what people describe waxing like.0 -

It's a machine with quick-spinning multiple metal pincers that rip the hair out by the root... By the hundreds.
I may have made this sound like a torture device. It is.5 -
I use a cheapo dual blade razor for my under arms and my legs.
While I used to wax my bikini area, I have found that cheap battery operated clippers for the first pass, followed up with a "Cleo" wet shaver is more than adequate and cheaper / more convenient for my purposes.0 -

Yup. That's it. It's like a slow wax without the wax0 -

Yeah, that sounds like something I would read about in history texts in regards to torture techniques employed by opposing forces in a war somewhere. I shave because I hate the pain of waxing and I also can't afford to get laser hair removal (which is basically the dream).
I do it because I like being as smooth as a baby's bottom.
I've never tried waxing, even though my tolerance for pain is pretty high. It just never sounded like something I wanted to engage in my quest to be silky smooth. I just wish razors didn't cost an arm and a leg.0 -

It's kinda weird actually because I don't know anyone who use them here, while in France it was actually quite common. Main thing about it is that it takes the hair at the roots, so it takes a while to grow back (in theory...), you don't have to go to the salon, and it doesn't cost anything past the initial cost.
It never really hurt me that much but I only did my legs with it...
Still amazed at everyone who does the bikini area. I shaved there once last year and it was a nightmare when it grew back, red bumps all over, ingrown hair, all the works. That's why I wear swimsuits with skirts.2 -
I'm not that hairy so I just shave. I have shaved my forearms since like 2005 because I was super-pale and dyed my hair black at the time and the light brown hair on my arms bugged me, and I swear now I only have like a 1" patch that grows back very slowly on them. Fine by me.
I used to fully shave my bikini area every day and now I just trim, maybe shave once in a blue moon. I never had issues with ingrown hairs or anything but I know a lot of people do! I also think it's funny when people say they can't groom downstairs because they're too fat. I was over 300 and had no problems whatsoever and the people I've heard say that are usually thin women who are just starting to show with their pregnancies. Whatever lady!0 -

I'm more than a little overweight and have no problems, I just detest having to do it once a week. Arms and legs don't bother me. They're easy and both take less than three minutes total.0 -
Shave my armpits and legs- but not nearly as often since going through menopause. Use an epilator on my lady bits because I like being smooth and unlike my legs, that hair still appears to be growing at the same rate as ever. Only have to use the epilator about every 10 days. Hurt like you wouldn't believe when I first started but now hurts no more than plucking my eyebrows (which I haven't needed to do for about 10 years).1

Okay, I have a question.
I have very light blonde hair on my face -- can barely see it, but it bugs me when I have a mustache. I have been told by an aesthetician that it's better to shave facial hair like mine than to wax.
Any thoughts, experience?
