Trying to get in shape for Hip-Hop & other dances and activities

Hey, my name is Dana, and I'm new to MyFitnessPal.

I enjoy dancing of various kinds and am currently learning Hip-Hop for college credit (dance minor). I'm 32 and a military veteran as well.

Hip-Hop is hard on my joints, so I use several supports, but I'm trying to workout more to boost my body strength to handle inversions and B-girl moves eventually. I'm trying to learn how to do headstands, handstands, one handed or no handed cartwheels, etc.

There are things I've never done before and progress has been rough. It would be nice to find someone with similar interests and desire for more interesting workout activities (like handstands and cartwheels, along with supplemented strength training), with whom to share progress and encouragement.
