Not-so-new

I've been using myfitnesspal.com for a few weeks now, but this is my first time on the message boards. I only lost 0.2 pounds this week, but it feels like success because I was on vacation and ate every meal out and the cook at the B & B where we stayed was fantastic. I used some of the things I've learned on this site about portion size, calorie counts, nutrients, etc and that helped me to avoid gains. I'm also not-so-new in the age department. Losing weight with a post-50 metabolism is a challenge!

I hear you on the not so new thing, especially when it comes to age. I'd say if you went on vacation and didn't gain weight that is definately a success. Good luck with this journey, I know you will find mfp a great tool.0
