Eating Out (Italian Food)

Hi all,

I have a question regarding calories and food choices.

I have a date tonight B) and let him pick the restaurant = Italian food

Going to have the pasta rather than a pizza due to calorie content (pasta at 700 per serving, pizza at 700 for 3 slices), my goal is set to lose 0.5kgs a week, I just want to ensure that I am understanding the graph below correctly.

I reckon i'll be over my calorie budget for the day by potentially between 500-700 cals I am still in the safe zone and not eliminating my deficit correct?

NB: if this is in the wrong section someone please move it - didn't know where to place it because of the question re food choice and the question re calories under weekly goal.

Go to scoobysworkshop.com and find the TDEE calculator. TDEE is your maintenance calories. Then you'll always know whether you are still in deficit or not.

ETA: Oh, and good luck on your date! ;)

I don't think that 700 would even cover pasta in a restaurant unless you maybe eat 3/4 of the portion... but hey, its one night, life happens, tomorrow you get back to your deficit and all will be ok enjoy  I adore Italian food
