My daughter is actually allergic to food dyes. We found this out about a year and a half ago and it has been an eye opener for my whole family. We're all learning so much and realizing how horrible food dyes are! I'm going to look at the link right now... Thanks for sharing!

My mom is severely allergic to yellow #5, which is in everything from soaps, foods, to medications (even the imprinting of a medication's name on the pill might be used with dye). Her brother was also allergic to yellow 5 and red 40. Interestingly there is a correlation between the allergies of these 2 colors and an allergy to aspirin or asipirin based medications (ibuprofen, etc). Both my mom and her late brother were highly allergic to aspirin as well as the dyes.

I agree..............The rainbow of foods we should be eating are the colorful veggies and some fruits that are naturally grown and god given color!!!

Im surprised it didnt mention Annatto [spelling may be incorrect] - it's a "natural" food dye but has been known to cause gastro distress similar to Celiac, Crohns and Colitis.
