Hi everyone! I am still feeling new to the keto plan after 29 days. I'm loving it so far and have lost 12 pounds with is my main goal along with controlling Type 2 diabetes that I was recently diagnosed with. So far so good, but I am having trouble with getting my diary to calculate properly. I looked around and didn't see what area to most appropriately ask this question so I hope here is okay. Tonight I had some Birdseye California style veggies and according to online sources, as well as the bag, I should have taken in 4 total grams of carbs in that serving, with 2 of those being fiber. The fitness pal posted that food item as having a whopping 38 grams of carbs! I'm freaking out. Can anyone explain this to me? I don't want to give this app up and I know that entry has to be wrong.
I also just want to wish great success to all of you in your goals for a fit and healthy life!

I want to shout a big thank you to Bruce for helping me with the issue I mentioned above. I didn't see an appropriate space for thanks, so hopefully someone will see this and need the info as I did. First off, my bad for not more thoroughly checking out the site. Finding that we can edit the food database is huge! What an awesome and convenient tool! You'll find it under the food -> database tab. It's easy, and don't forget to save your changes. Big newbie here, but I can't be the only one.0

I know your problem has been solved but it appears that you may have selected the 1st option in the database which is the Protein Blends California Birdseye....which has 38 carbs. The two that follow (by the same name but not "Protein Blends") have only 4 carbs, 2 net so may be what you have wanted and editing an entry would not have been necessary. So many entries in the data base.
Good you learned how to edit though. It is a useful tool.0 -
As a Diabetic complex carbs are a necessary component of a healthy eating plan.
Long term, Keto may not be the best option.
As a Diabetic it is essential all food groups are included in your diet for overall good health and well being.0 -
