I returned to judo yesterday after a 5 year hiatus and my entire body was sore. But naturally I went back today I could barely walk this morning but once i started going through the motions I was fine. But right now I am incredibly sore and covered in bruises any suggestions to help with soreness? I started very young and continued into my teens so I can't remember ever being sore since my body was so used to it.

Light movement/exercise often helps people with soreness. Inactivity seems to have the opposite effect.
Stretching seems to help some people.
Not much else works well in my experience.

For me foam rolling helps to releive some soreness. Also try to walk it off.0

You over did it your first day back.
Solution: In a week or two you will feel better.1 -
You can temporarily ease the discomfort with low impact, walking, light stretching, foam rolling
Eating well and giving this time is the only thing that works me.0
