I am not new to fitness pal, but I have been super inconsistent. I go great for a while, then just completely stop logging my food, exercising, and eating correctly. This time, I realized that maybe I need others to help encourage me and keep me going through those times when I want to quit....SO.....I'm stepping out there and joining the "Community" in hopes of finding some accountability and encouragement........and hopefully, I'll be able to give some as well.
I am 65 years old, and currently 75 pounds overweight. My joints are feeling the strain of the extra weight, and it makes it difficult to really enjoy my several grandchildren.
I would love to connect with others that are fighting this battle....

I used to think of it as a battle, too. But now I've maintained a healthy weight for three years, and realize that was exactly what kept me back, kept me overweight (I had 50 pounds to lose in the end).

Maybe if you stop aiming to do great and eat correctly, you'll be able to continue staying active and eating healthily, and not want to quit because it's just livinh a normal life and it makes you feel great.
