    What is a git? That would make a good test question now that I think of it.

    I understand it to mean person or dude in British English, or maybe more like rascal or scamp, but a British person should probably answer. I’m not sure how negative the connotation is. A couple online dictionaries vary from “unpleasant or contemptible” person to “foolish” and “worthless” person. I thought it more benign.
