Ok, so I had completly forgot how great it felt to push myself at the gym! All started when I ate far too many reeces peices (I love them!). Felt a little guilty and worked out I needed to go to the gym and work off 400 calories to even it all out. Decided to time my self burning 100 calories on the Crosstrainer and then 100 calories on the bike. Then went to beat it! Its totally worked - I really pushed myself! Thought maybe this will be a good challenge for myself and will ensure I always work the hardest. Trust me I found it much easier to be motivated to burn 100 calories as quickly as possible as I did to chug away for 15 minutes!

Who wants to join in?? Thought maybe we could post our times etc to keep us motivated to beat our own personal bests! Fully understant that machines are gonna differ a little in calorie consumption but hey as long as we use the same machine each time out personal best should still be valid.

Join me if you wish - I dare you!

This sound good! I'm going to give it a go at the gym tomorrow! I get a bit bored doing the same things so like to mix it up - like today I changed the speed of the treadmill every minute so I was always at a different speed - the time flew by! :)

Will see how I go tomorrow!

That sounds like a good idea but my problem is just getting on the treadmill and it is in my house. I seem to have other things to do. Any help with that?

    He he - I love a challenge!
Cross Trainer level 15 resistance going at a good long stretch pace for 7.5 mins = 100 cals (& lots of sweat!!!)
  • Ooooh 7.5 minutes good work! try and get myself there!

Ok getting on the treadmill - I reckon the only thing you can do here is bite the bullet and do 100 calories. Im a personal trainer by trade and I always said to my clients even if you dont feel like exercising put on your gears and do it for 10 minutes - if after that you still don't - then by all means stop and DON'T feel guilty! Trust me, usually after 10 minutes you wont feel like stopping, the hardest part is starting! Good luck!

    Today:
    Crosstrainer - 100cal = 10.5minutes
    Bike - 100cal = 9.5 minutes
