Definitely! The first thing I did when I started losing weight was change my diet and eating habits before even stepping foot in a gym! Nutrition is something I definitely struggle with

This depends on what your goals are. Not everyone at the gym is there to lose weight/stay "trim."

Oh geez, I am so the reverse of that. :'(

(Yeh I know I do the work but, if the magical unicorn fairy covered in rainbows and snowflakes came every night while I was sleeping, tapped me on the head, and said 'workout done', I would be a happy little kitten.
Food, I'm taste, and texture over quantity- I'll never make it to the volume eaters thread.)

    Cheers, h.

that depends on your goals and priorities.. i'm a powerlifter, My diet compliments my training, not the other way around.

I'm behind you on that. I'm there to gradually increase my weight and my lifts along with it.

I see the scales slow climb as a very positive indicator.
