Hello! I have used the food and exercise logs for a year or two but never joined the community. I am 48 and a former Marine. I have been fitness minded for all of my life but am learning with age that things are changing and I need to adapt diet and exercise. I hope to gain insight from the community. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs. I am happy with the way I look and my strength from running two days a week and lifting 3-4 days per week. I eat about 1500 calories per day and sometimes a little more but I can't seem to get below 135. I'd like to get to 130 but that doesn't seem what my body seems to want to do...

Your body has no will and no choice, it reacts to what you do to it. If you want to lose those five pounds, just eat less than you do now, and be patient. The easiest way is to tighten up your logging so you really eat 1500 calories per day every day. But you're already at a low weight for your height, so you have to decide for yourself how important those pounds are and how much extra effort they're worth, both to lose, and to keep off.1

You are right and thank you. It is easy for me to get obsessed about my weight out of fear of gaining. Thanks1
