Hi there!
I've been dieting on and off since I was a teenager. I'm down from my highest weight ever (221) to around 205 (haven't stepped on a scale recently. I'm trying to focus on the habits for a few weeks before jumping in to track my weight.) I'd like to get down to 165 (I'm 5'11).
I've been doing low carb on and off for about a year now. I fell off the wagon for the last few months, but I am trying to do it again, in a modified way. I was doing keto before, sticking to under 20g of carbs a day. Now I'm trying out doing a bit higher carb, aiming for 40-50g a day. This feels a bit healthier and more sustainable to me, as I was eschewing veggies to stay in my carb goals. It gives me more flexibility I feel too.
I also just picked up the Beck Diet Solution from the library, and I am loving it. It makes so much sense to me, and I can see where it will come in handy. So I just reached the part about getting a diet coach. My boyfriend is very supportive of all this, but I would also love to have other resources, so the weight is spread out a bit. Anyone interested in becoming diet buddies? I really like the idea of a scheduled weekly recap of how things went, what could be improved on, etc. (I'm a very process oriented person, and love checklists and meetings!)
Please let me know if you're interested! I'd especially love people who are around my age (early 20's) or have similar amounts to lose!
