Does anyone know if the suggested carbs for your body or weight are accurate. Or what the recommended carbs are . Right now MFP says i should eat 196.

It's a default setting of 50% of your calories coming from carbs. Some people do fine eating that amount, others prefer less as they don't feel as satiated with them as they do fat/protein, and some have to limit their carb intake for medical reasons.

A lot of people think that because low-carb is so trendy right now! But it's the calories that determine whether you lose weight or not. Carb, protein, and fat %s can affect satiety, but how is different for everyone. I find carbs like potatoes, rice, oatmeal, pasta etc very filling so I eat 200+g carbs and it works great. But someone else might be starving eating all those carbs because they don't fill them up. You just have to play around with it and find your sweet spot. Good luck and congrats on your success so far!

You can adjust your macro settings to whatever you prefer.

Some people prefer a low-carb style of eating (approx. 20g - 150g carbs per day), or some prefer to eat more, all the way up to 300g or 400g of carbs per day. There is a whole lot of wiggle room there.

If anything, I'd concentrate on getting adequate protein, which tends to about around 1.5 to 2.2g/kg of weight.

I averaged around 300g of carbs when I was lost my 50 lbs.

I believe MFP's default macros are still 50%C, 30%P, 20%F - but you can change them to whatever you want.

I was close, lol. :) I haven't used their default macros in so long I couldn't remember exactly what they were.

I eat around 250 carbs, I probably ate more actually when I lost 50 lbs. I wouldn't worry
