Outdoor adventure pics

Post pics of outdoor fitness and adventures. Running trails, bike trails, kayaking, hikes whatever motivates you. Add the locations so other people can possibly join you. Training with others is always more fun! I have been mountain biking for a few years and convinced my wife to go this year. She LOVES it and it already planning lots of new adventures. We live in Western Washington and are always looking for others to join us on our outdoor adventures.

Last one. This day was freaking epic. After a night of drinking, totally dead on the legs (first 5 min were awful), a buddy and I decided to turn our lazy stroll into a 50 mile ride down PCH.
We decided we’d take the train back, in Oceanside. We had to pass through the military base near Oceanside...what’s the name..but he forgot his ID. So we hopped on the shoulder of the 5 freeway. It was rush hour and we are passing traffic with a nice tailwind, going 20mph like it was nothing.
We get to the train station and have 90 min to kill. We get lunch. We get PLASTERED. Return and realize we can’t get our bikes on the train. *kitten*.
More drinks. Call a friend who owed us a favor. Even more drinks.

    It was great.

These are fantastic. I don't have mine on my computer to share, but it's the summit of Mt. St. Helens, our beloved Pacific NW volcano. Climbed it 2.5 years ago with my husband and kids. Climbing it again this summer with some of my sisters to celebrate my 50th bday. Would not have been able to do it without losing the weight and getting active.

I have drop feet, which has taken away my ability to bike, but i am working hard to get my strength and muscles back so i can ride my bike again. Be thankful for your nerves and feet muscles, they are a Godsend!.

I’m not familiar with drop feet but I’m really sorry to hear that. Can you stay active outside other days?

Just as an aside, had the reflectors removed. That’s my second bike which I leave in Cali..

I took an amazing cycling trip through Italy with my tri team. We rode through piedmont. It was truly phenomenal. Broke my phone and lost almost all the pictures.

Returning from swimming in Antigua (waves were monsters that day; I hopped out nce swells breaking on me were nearly twice my height, literally). Apparently waves like those occur ~10x/year.

A good day, last summer, at a friend’s beach house. Epic day: *we* rode 42 miles, bifurcated by a 1k bay swim, topped off with a deep tissue massage and a cocktail.

We hike and bike that area during the summer. It is beautiful. Have you visited the Ape Caves on the way there? This is at the entrance to the caves on the way to Mt. St. Helens

No good story... I chaperoned a trip with my daughter put on by her high school - 8 days in southern Italy. That pic was from our hotel at one of the stops.

That sounds like at least a fair story! : )

Love the video with the pups.

Also, that AZ road looks familiar. Were you in Scottsdale?

No, Tucson. I have family there (headed back out in about 3 weeks).
