Running ideas on what to eat

I cut out pasta and rice while dieting (unless it’s brown rice), because if I eat that I actually gain. I have an extremely slow metabolism and I have to eat 1200 calories to lose. I also cut out pork and beef for now because my cholesterol is high. Seems like I’m eating the same foods every day and I’m running out of ideas. I’m allergic to fruits (yes all fruits), certain veggies and to all nuts. So basically every day I eat oatmeal, chicken or turkey or fish, lettuce and tomatoes, or potatoes. My diet is very boring. That’s how I got overweight because all the fattening foods I can eat like pizza, pastas, burgers etc. this is so hard :(

    You gain weight by eating too many calories not what foods you eat.

    Try eggs. Low cal, high protein. Greek yogurts?

    I tend to eat very similar foods for breakfast and lunch every day because it’s easier for me to plan and prepare, then mix it up for dinner. So I hear you on the boring part of eating the same things over and over, but for me that works and I lose weight so it’s worth it.

    And nothing wrong with a burger or piece of pizza here or there. I had a piece of cheese pizza the other day, fit it in my calories so it was all good!

    Do you eat any pulses/beans, or other grains (like quinoa)? They go well with the salad items you are eating and are alternatives to meats for a little bit of variety.

    Make lower calorie pizza and lean burgers. Control pasta portions with light sauces. Try whole wheat pasta if you like. It's not the food choices....it's the calories.

    Find lower calorie options that can become lifelong substitutes.

    Thanks for all the ideas. And yes I do like to eat beans just a small portion of it.
