Gaining weight but exercising? Help

So I recently started working out, like 5 days to be exact. I’ve also been eating healthier since then and staying below my calorie count. But today when I weighed myself before my workout, I’ve gained like 3 lbs. Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

    Starting a new workout usually causes temporary water retention, so yes that's likely normal. It should eventually drop off.
