I am a member of a gym and I love going. But....in December my doctor took me off gym due to a then undiagnosed back injury. I was scheduled to go back March 8. Testing, massage therapy, acupuncture, physio, (I even tried those little sucky cups things on my back, and bloodletting - I kid you not), blah blah blah, and I was looking so forward to March 8. I saw my new physiotherapist last week, and I am to be off from the gym "for the foreseeable future". I find that I can follow my food tracking much better when I attend the gym. I used to go 3-4 times a week, now, nada, My injury is out of control painful, and my physiotherapist told me the pain will probably intensify before it gets better (because of all the damage that needs "undoing"). I'm hoping I can get the weight off with just diet, for now, but I'm totally bummed.

Are you allowed to swim or do water aerobics? I found those so freeing when my back was at it's worst. Just keep in mind that it will be easier to get out of a pool with steps, rather than a ladder.
