Protien goal

I'm 20. 5'4 135 pounds female. I eat right at 1200 calories but go slightly over my protien goal. Will I gain?

You gain weight by eating too many calories. Going over protein is fine...in fact many here look at their protein goal as a minimum.4

And there are a few studies showing that protein is not metabolized at 4kcals per gram, as is commonly thought. It requires some energy for your body to break it down. Protein is a poor source of energy relative to fats and carbs although being essential for your body.
You can either think of this as "yay, I can eat more" or "man, I need some more fuel." If you are losing faster than you want or just feeling a bit sapped, go a bit higher in fats and/or carbs (still within your plan).1
