Hi, I'm Lily. I really want to have a weight loss buddy, or even a small group, but it's hard to find people in the real world, so I thought I'd try here. I'm 19 and in college. I was always on the smaller side when I was younger, but in the past year and a half I've gained a lot of weight. Definitely more than just the "freshman fifteen". More like forty. I went to the doctor today and realized that if I gain five more pounds, I'll be overweight. Now, I'm not complaining, I realize I'm still healthy, but at the rate I'm going, I'll put on those five pounds in a month, so I'd rather lose a couple pounds and try to get back to where I was.
Did anyone else gain a lot of weight when they went to college? If so how did you lose it?

Hey Lily! I’m Masen. I’m 20 and in college too, and was always super fit and muscular throughout high school because of soccer, but when I gave that up, I felt like all my muscle turned to fat and I even gain some more on top of that. I’m still working on getting mine off, and slowly chipping away the numbers, but I find that not binge eating or snacking helps me a lot, as well as doing what I can to get any kind of work out in. Needing to watch what we eat though is a major key, since we don’t have the same metabolism we’re so used to!! To stay motivated I just remind myself that the longer I wait to do something about it, the harder it’s gonna get! Just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone :)
