Question about recipe builder and servings

I want to make sure I have this correct. Say I am making a stew. I used to add together all the weights of the foods added to the pot, then weighed out a portion size that looked right and divided that number by the total weight to get a portion size. That worked okay, except every portion was the exact same size.
Now I am understanding I can actually put the amounts of servings as the amounts of grams and dish up however many servings (grams) I want. For example, this stew weighs 4,356 grams. So I could put the recipe as 4,356 servings and dish myself 350 servings if I want a 350 gram bowl?
Thanks!

Yes. Just note that the nutrition information for the 1g serving may *display* zero Calories and zero nutrients, but the underlying decimal amounts will scale properly when you log a larger number of grams for the serving in your Diary. After you save the recipe, log 100g of it in your Diary to test that the nutrition information makes sense.1

Having made a stew over the weekend I realized that the entire pot is correctly accounted for in the recipe, but the chunkiness of the meat will mean that the precise macros of any given subset of the recipe are necessarily inaccurate. It's not enough to stress about. If your particular situation requires absolute precision in macros, a homemade stew is a good way to miss.2

Well I am glad you asked this because I knew what I had been doing was no doubt not the best method.
Here is what I did: (my numbers are made up because I don't remember them)
I made some pasta sauce with a bunch of leftovers I had in the fridge.
I entered all the ingredients with weights into the recipe builder.
I knew it would make 4 servings.
I weighed the finished product and it was 500 grams.
I scooped up 125 g servings and filled 4 different containers. (500 ÷ 4 servings)2
