Total Hip Replacement

I love myfitnesspal! I was down to 132 which is a good weight for me. Last year I had severe groin pain which left me unable to exersice. I had my total hip replacement in January which I am thankful for. Now the journey begins again as I have gained 10 pounds over the last years due to the pain and eating to comfort the pain. Tomorrow I see my surgeon and hopefully he will give me the green light and lift the weight bearing restriction. I know once I am able to exercise I will be able to get the extra weight off. A new year...a new me...with my new hip!

Best of luck! Only gaining 10lbs over the course of a year is actually not bad at all. I'm sure you'll drop it in no time!0

Good luck hope you will be back at it soon. Just came back from a hip injury myself. Sprained one of the hip flexors. Really listen to what the surgeon says you can do and maybe seek advise from a physio or PT.1
