Seeking a Motivation Partner

Hey I’m back on fitness pal in order to loose 8lb in 6 weeks! (I have a holiday coming up which I want to feel fabulous again!) Since my wedding little over a year ago I’ve put on 1 stone! Absolutely gutted! Thing is I’m not expecting to be that size again because what I ate became my life and don’t really want to be like that again. However, I would like to loose 8lb so I don’t feel so wobbly....I work at a desk 9-5pm(ish) and drive 120miles a day so don’t do much moving throughout the week. However, I am trying to go gym 3 times a week!...my workplace is full of nibbles and snacks and find it so hard to be strict with myself. Could really do with a little motivation with food and exercise, so if anyone is in a similar boat it would be great to have a motivation partner? Also if anyone has any work out tips to help with weight loss then would love to hear them! I quite enjoy doing weights so any ideas would be much appreciated :)

You are welcome to friend me! I try to work out 6 days a week but I don't go to the gym. I work out at home, using a variety of workout dvd's. I love them because I can mix and match strength and cardio and they are timed perfectly for me to get a work out in before going to work and sitting on my butt for the next 9-10 hours. They say exercise isn't the cause of weight loss (it's calorie deficit) BUT with exercise I can enjoy more food in my day and my body is more toned now than ever before. It's definitely worth the effort in my opinion! Good luck on your journey!

Wow Working out 6 days a week! That’s amazing. There’s me hoping to just make it to the gym 3 days a week :# you are right about calorie intake, but I’ve definitely seen a difference in my body by not moving as much as I used too...Would be fab to friend you, all them work outs may inspire me to do more! Thank you for replying to my thread :)
