Plant-based

I’ve been vegan since the spring of 2015. I’ve tried RT4, raw vegan, HCLF, Starch Solution, and your classic eat-whatever-Vegan. I lost a significant amount of weight in 2017, but I’ve gained it back on purpose by orders of the pros and concerns. I finally got my period back after 435 days of it being gone. But now that summer is coming and I’m going to be running marathons in a couple months, I’ve wanted to lose a bit of the weight I gained back. This time I want to do it slowly! Not sure what weight I’m at. Guessing 130-140 lbs. I’m 5 ft 5. I’m going to lose the weight by eating all plant-based whole foods, no sugar or oil or salt (well, some salt maybe, because athletes really need salt), and focus on vegetables and fruit.

Broad range indicates you run a lot : )
How many minutes do you run/day?0 -
Really depends. Average 45 minutes during a lazy week. 70 during a good week.0

I'm assuming that's your daily, and then your long runs get longer?
What does a 3 month plan, for an ultra, look like?
Just curious. I'm doing a full Ironman end July, and I know fall is running season.0 -
60 miles per week on a rest week. 75 miles on a good long week. I’m trying to get up to 90 miles a week by June.
I do 1 half marathon a week, a 20 Mile run or longer twice a month, and then once a month I might do a back-to-back 15-20 Mile Run (total of 30-40 miles in 24-48 hours). My goal is to do a 40 Mile run in June in a single day. 20 in the morning, 10 in the afternoon, 10 in the evening. Or 20 in the morning and 20 in the evening.0 -
Feel free to add me. Recently transitioned to WFPB (still struggle some days) and I'm learning to run. I signed up for my first 10K on June 3rd and I am doing the 10K Ultra Mud Hero on Sept 8th.0

half and full marathoner here. Went plant based in Jan. for health/blood pressure issues. Still dealing with those. Dropped a few pounds but still need to get off 30 more pounds. I want to run another marathon this year but won't unless I get off some more weight. Its just not fun to train with extra lbs.
Are any of you still in weigh loss process? Or do you use MFP as maintenance?
Happy running!0
