Frustrated with Weight Gain

I’m frustrated. I began working out two months ago to lose some weight. Though I have seen some physical differences, the scale keeps on raising and I don’t know what to do about it. I’m a college student so finding food that fit into a diet is really hard sometimes too but I’m trying to eat chicken, salad, and other healthy foods.

I don’t know what to do, but continuing to see the scale increase is causing me to question what I’m doing wrong.

"Healthy" is neither here nor there when it comes to weight. You need to consume fewer calories than your body uses. Proper nutrition is important but a separate issue from weight gain/maintenance/loss.

Exercise is great for overall health but won't cause weight loss if you consume too many calories. That's why controlling your intake is where you need to concentrate your efforts if you want to lose weight.

Track on MyFitnessPal for a couple of weeks without making changes. You can then look back through your food diary to see where you might eat smaller portions of calorie-dense foods and/or make satisfying substitutions.
