Trampoline for cardio?

I’ve been wanting to buy a trampoline for the house, one of those smaller fitness ones. How effective is it as a cardio routine? Also I weigh 240 at the moment so I’m a little scared I’m too heavy for one. Help

You need to read the specifications on the rebounder for weight limit before buying. Also read reviews. I have one from Walmart, and I like it, but I'm not very heavy. You do get a good cardio workout on it. Your feet and calves will be sore until your body acclimates to this type of exercise, so start slow and build up.

Maybe I’ll lose another 20-30lbs before I buy one. The one with the best reviews and highest stars on amazon said weight limit was 250, lol. I think I’m a littttle too close to the limit to risk it. I envision it snapping shut on me

@missparkerr92 I currently use a mini-trampoline for some parts of my cardio sessions because it's a lower impact on my feet and joints. So any jumping jacks, jogging, running, high-knees, etc, I do those parts on the trampoline. I've found it to be very effective at getting my heart rate up for cardio and it's fun!

A word of advice: If you do decide to purchase one, try to keep your feet in the middle of the mat as much as possible. Getting too close to the sides can cause springs to wear down and eventually they can break and pop off in any direction. They make trampolines without springs, but I've never used them as they are way out of my price range.
