930... about to go to bed. Should I eat the calories I failed to eat today? Or try better tomorrow?

It's ok, one day won't make you or break you. If your hungry, have a snack later on before bed.
Meal Timing is irrelevant anyway, it makes no difference as far as weight control is concerned as to what time someone eats.6 -
Skip it. Think of it as part of your weekly goal.
You may be a bit more hungry another day, or need a few extra calories at the weekend.
You can look at your weekly calories for your goal, but don't go too low on any day.

I can't sleep if I've just eaten. You've eaten a reasonable amount and clearly aren't starving or you wouldn't be asking Go to sleep!2

Its one day, tomorrow you might find you are extra hungry and then you'll have reserve cals to eat.0
