Does anyone own a scale? I never owned one and I think it’s time! Any suggestions?

I'm guessing that you mean body weight scale? I just bought the Nokia body plus scale. Bed Bath and beyond has it on special until Friday for $20 off which makes it $80 and then a 20% coupon makes it $64. It uploads automatically into the app by Wi-Fi, better than by Bluetooth in my opinion. It also tracks BMI and body fat etc. While I know that's not an accurate measure it still give you a trend. And so far the app works seamlessly. I also have it linked to an app called MY Weight to give me a trendline and a graph.

I vote for not getting the Nokia scale mentioned if only because it looks like Nokia is in the process of killing it off. https://www.theverge.com/2018/2/20/17031326/nokia-health-withings-digital-health-memo

Note I do have the Withings branded scale and it works. I just don't expect that Nokia will keep that infrastructure running through the year. There are various other scales that sync to MFP including those by Fitbit and Garmin. There are also multitudes of scales that don't sync to internet based services.

Any scale will work just fine. Just be consistent on when you weigh, what you wear, and use the same one.

Any normal digital scale is fine, body fat scales are notoriously inaccurate (see this article https://www.livestrong.com/article/354963-how-do-body-fat-scales-work-are-they-accurate/)

Any digital scale will be fine, I had a Salter one that only cost £14 and it was great until it gave up the ghost...I then bought WW ones, bad move, have to calibrate them every time I want to weigh in so maybe steer clear of that brand.
And don't worry about getting one that also displays bodyfat% because they are never accurate for that.

That's interesting. We will see what happens. The good thing is that I bought it at bed bath and beyond, so if the company does shut it down, I can return it. As long as it's working, I'll keep it and enjoy it.

Yeah I bought it long enough ago that any warranty wouldn't be met, sadly.

That's the best thing about bed bath and beyond. Even if it's two years from now, I can return it. I always buy stuff like that there because of it.

I wrote a pretty lengthy blog post on "weighing in" (see link below)a while back, which explains how to get the most accurate/consistent weight, but as previously mentioned consistency is key. The scale itself is less important. That Being said, I use a research grade Seca scale at work. It runs about $350 but is a fantastic scale (I'm not suggesting you buy this). For personal use most any scale should be fine but you may want to look into something that syncs with MFP or some sort of online tracker, or provides information in addition to weight (body comp, etc.). It really just depends how much money you want to spend.

Was going to say all of the above. I love my Withings but can't recommend it until Nokia is clear what they are doing.

I will be sad if I have to start the long, laborious process of actually typing my weight in every day :)
