Losing weight before having a baby

Hi all,

I have been an MFP lurker for a long time. I am however back and have a target weight loss of 18lbs by the first week of December (approximately 1 lb. per week) as my husband and I will start at that point to try and become pregnant (want to be as healthy as possible).

I have purposely set realistic goals as it takes a lot of effort for me to lose and well, 1200 a day doesn't do it for me.

Would love to make new friends here.
