Gaining weight?

So this week I started doing strength training. I have done 30 minutes three times per week. I lost very well the first 2 weeks. I keep to my calorie count of 1400 per day and I weigh all of my food for tracking accuracy. I also drink a ton of water. But for some reason the scale keeps going up and I don’t understand it. Sunday’s are my weigh in day but I have been weighing myself daily to keep me accountable. I know many people say don’t do this but I just don’t get why I keep going up in weight? I have so much weight to lose that it’s incredibly frustrating to see the scale trend up every day. What am I doing wrong?

You aren’t doing anything wrong. You’re doing some new exercises that are causing your muscles to retain water. Weight loss isn’t linear, so you will experience ups and downs all the time. Just be patient and it will start dropping again.7
