Welcome Motivation is overrated. If it's hard to keep on, it's not the right path for you.1

Random people online can be great support, but the only motivation that really helps is the intrinsic kind. If it's not coming from you, it won't be strong enough to get you started.
But keep in mind, Motivation is only a starter. It cannot, and will not keep you going when you hate eating mayonnaise free kale sandwiches or running 10 miles before 5am. The only thing that will do that (those are extreme examples, probably don"t do those) is changing ypur habits and behaviors.slowly, over time to incorporate compmete change over time.
Begin with logging. Log your food, weigh it on a scale, not with measuring cups or serving sizes. Mass vs. Weight makes a huge difference in calories. Log why you are eating. Are you hungry? Bored? Is it just time to.eat? Are you out with friends and family and watung is what you do? Log how you feel before during and and hour after. Are you hungry again, still stuffed, bloated, teady to throw these damn kale sandwiches out a *kitten* window? Even log excercises, did you go to the gym? For a run? A walk ? Why? How did you feel afterwards?
After doing that for a while you will know what actually motivates you, what your actual habits are and maybe why, and what you can change right now to make a bigger change easier later. Then change one thing. Eat smaller portions of food, order food without the sides at a drive through. Walk around the block/parking lot on your lunch break. Make it a habit. When you are comfortable with that, find something else to change. You can make 3 or four changes at tbe same time, but keep them simple and KEEP THEM SEPERATE. That way, when your friends flake on you, and you are exhausted or angry and motivation is a trigger instead of an encouragement, you have habit and new behavior to fall back on. And even if you decide to say *kitten* it to being perfect for a while, you won't lose everything, because you kept everything small and seperated instead of one gigantic "CHANGE".0 -

From experience... You’ll do it only if it is important to you and you keep it as one of your priorities. If it is not a priority for you, no one else will be able to motivate you.
I set goals and tell others what they are but I hold myself to those goals...one of the things that keeps me honest and on track.1 -
Hi I'm Cherri from London England at the beginning of a three stone marathon! Ive just let it slip year after year but it's time to get a handle on this as it's affecting my health and happiness.. love to share motivation with you.. I think it helps to have motivation from the outside too as our intrinsic motivation sometimes has a break from time to time...0

Motivation, for me, only goes but so far. After that, you need determination.0
