Is this the Correct Place For Me?

Having read some of these discussions, I wonder if I'm in the right place. My goals are not weight related and I need some support and accountability in meeting a physical goal. My goal is somewhat age related. I am endeavoring to ride my bicycle 100 miles or more on my 70th birthday. All of my workout "buddies" are either deceased or unable to participate, so I go it alone. Are their others with similar goals? I ride 30 to 40 miles 4X a week and hit the gym 2X each week pushing some heavy weights to maintain bone health. I use a modified "Maximum Overload" system based on 4 sets of 15 leg presses using 400#. Does anyone, who knows what they are doing, have any advice to offer?

    Hey! Welcome and excellent goal!

    There is a fitness and exercise forum here and lots of bike enthusiasts, give it a look. :) Maybe start a thread over there with a title that addresses your question like, "Wanting to Ride a bike 100 miles on my 70th Birthday! Any tips?"
