Fast food tends to have a lot of sodium. That could be a reason why. Where you are in your menstrual cycle can also effect your weight.9

My weight has gone up by 10 pounds within a week. For me, it's overeating and too much sodium.1

Completely normal... give it a couple of days. You're not doing anything wrong.6

Fluctuations are normal, that sub probably was high in sodium ...it'll be gone in a few days, don't sweat the small stuff as fluctuations are par for the course for all of us.3

I think you really need to read through some of the posts on here and it'll help you calm down (especially if you are weighing daily), loads of threads about gaining X number of lbs over night/after dinner and everyone has the same advice.8

A few weeks ago I experienced the same thing. It disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared. These things happen. Just remember, it is actually impossible to gain that much "fat" overnight, so it is going to be fluid.4

no you didnt.

It happens! It's totally frustrating, but your body will correct over the long haul. Stay with what's been working and don't worry about a week fluctuation, it can be water weight or it can also be hormonal...0

My wild guess would be that, in addition to the salt causing water retention, your glycogen levels have been low, and eating the bread in the sub translated to higher glycogen levels. Glycogen binds with water in a 1:3 ratio, so it caused you to retain more water still and moved the scale. If you stuck to your deficit you still made progress even if the scales don’t show it. If your glycogen levels increased while being net negative in calories, that means that something else was catabolized for energy, probably fat.8

Aren't you the same person who freaked out because you hadn't lost weight after a week of exercise?
Patience is not your strong suit.21 -

Probably excess sodium. Every time I have a weekend of partying or eating out, the scale jumps quite a bit on Monday morning but usually settles back to where it was originally by Wednesday. That's why it's important to remain consistent with your eating habits.1
