Hello, I’m after some advice please.

I have recently started using MFP so still figuring out how to use it. I’m a bit confused as in the pics below the pie chart says Iv over on carbs. Yet the nutrients remaining says I have 110g left to use ?

What do I go by? Thank you :-)

The chart simply means that you've had more carbs than other nutrients in the foods you've eaten so far. The pie chart shows where you're at nutrient-wise at this moment in time, the daily macros show you how much of each nutrient you have left for the day as a whole. Ideally, by the end of your eating day, the chart would have percentages close to your desired macro breakdown.

The pie chart is how many you have already used. If you use all your calories at the ratio you set up, you would have 50% carbs, 20% protein, and 30% fat. Right now your protein and fats are lower so 70% of what you have eaten has been carbs. The second is how many you have left. How did you decide on your macros? Are you on a protein restriction? Just curious.

Protein looks okay to me, 17 grams consumed and 71 left totaling 88 grams. It's not unreasonably low.

Right that makes sense thank you :-) I didn’t choose my macros. I just put in my height and weight etc and thought MFP works out how many I’m allowed? I’m guessing that I’m wrong haha? How should I work it out? Thank you

No need to overcomplicate it. The macros set up by MFP are good. Some people tweak them later depending on their needs but unless you have special needs it's not necessary. If you decide to do that at some point you will have the option. Keep it simple and don't get lost in details.

You're right. 88 isn't bad. I was curious because most people I've seen either have the fat lowest or carbs lowest in their macro set up. I was curious to see if she was had a medical issue or if there is a benefit to it.
