I have been struggling with an eating disorder for about a year. I am at a road block with what to do. I know I need to gain weight but my mind is stopping me. I need advice on what to do.

Do you get treatment? What does your therapist say?

I live in an environment where I am unable to get help because of people controlling me.

You are right in that resolving your relationship with food, you have to do yourself. Only you can decide when you're ready for a change. But if you have a true eating disorder, you're not likely to be able to do it alone. Just advice from us in here, isn't going to be enough. What do you mean by people controlling you? Eating disorders usually come from a perceived lack of control, and with a serious lack of trust, toward oneself as well as others. Treatment usually, ironically, includes someone else making sure that you eat properly, if necessary, by force.
