I bought a pedometer - I'm always on my feet and was curious how many steps I take throughout the day. Can I record this as exercise, and how? The walking categories given don't seem to cover "steps" - yet cooking is listed as an exercise....??

I would log only purposeful exercise, not the walking around day to day stuff.2

I believe most people use step counters more passively - that is, they have them sync with MFP and MFP will give them a positive or negative calorie adjustment based on the number of steps. I don't believe most people log steps as exercise.
I could be wrong, though.0 -
This is more something that would affect your activity level than exercise.1

Thanks to all.0

I set my mfp activity level to sedentary and I link my step counter to mfp to give me more calories for the day. This is helpful because some days I walk drastically less than others, so my daily calorie needs are different.1
