Hello everyone. My name is Jonathan, I’m 19 years old and this is the beginning of my OFFICIAL weight loss journey. I put official in all caps because I technically started at the beginning of the year. I weighed in at 265 lbs and was very depressed and not happy with where I was. My whole life growing up I was a chubby kid. I got picked on a lot and I’ll admit I don’t have a lot of good memories of my childhood. Ss a “grown up”, I got out of a relationship that I had been in with my girlfriend for a year and half, I quit my job, and I was in a private University. However I transferred to a community college in downtown Chicago and I decided to lose weight when I realized that I hit my lowest point in my life. As of right now, I’ve lost close to 20 lbs, i weight 245. But I did it in a unhealthy manner. I worked out but I found myself starving a lot and I want to do it the right way now because I feel stuck at this weight. I come from a poor family, and I myself am poor and so my goal weight is around 180-190 lbs. I’m not trying to lose weight to look good but to feel better knowing that I am healthy and feel confident in myself and accept myself. I want to find employment and not give off the impression that I an lazy, because I’m not. With the very little money I can I will attempt to reach my goal in losing 50-60 lbs. I’m motivated and excited!!
