Been strictly dieting but tonight I really want some pizza. Should I give in or will one night ruin my weight loss goals

One night won't ruin anything. I still eat pizza every Friday, just within my goals.9

I eat pizza. I log the slices, if I'm still peckish I eat a salad on the side, I work out a little bit longer the next day.
You can have your pizza and still lose weight. Follow the MFP goals set for you and the system will work.5 -
Homemade pizza? Or personal pan? Or ask someone to share? So you can control portions better. Have salad, fruit, soup? To go with it.
Something to help you not go overboard. Nothing wrong with a little, but yeah, a whole large could undo a good week.0 -
I love pizza! I make my own and that way I can control my servings better. I pre-log to see what I can afford in my day and if it's not enough, I'll bust out some cardio to earn it!2

Currently eating a slice of Mazzios original crust combo pizza and it’s 283 calories of deliciousness!!0

Make your own....you make it the way you want.0

Strictly dieting doesn't mean you can't have pizza. Strictly dieting means you can have pizza, you just need to make it fit your calorie goal.
Strict =/= restricted.12 -

Eat some pizza that fits in your calorie goal5 -
I lost 25 kg while still eating pizza about once a month. I also did a long bicycle ride about once a month too ... and then ate the pizza after the ride.3

That was the one avoid food I had when I started and really missed it I know have one slice and you'll be fine mentality but I also knew for me that was not going to happen that way like telling an alcoholic one sip of beer and you'll be fine.
I found www.califlourfoods.com and make my own pizza now fits in my calories and more importantly my carb goals for the day without blowing anything up.2 -
You could always order a pizza & have leftovers for lunch/dinner the next day/couple days.3

Give homemade flatbread pizza a try0

Life is too short to not eat pizza.7

Eat your pizza and log it, it's not cheating if you are within your calorie goals.3

A good pizza hack is to use a tortilla as the base for a homemade low calorie alternative. Tastes almost as good and is only about 160 calories.4

Like other posters have said - pizza can fit into your plan. About once a month on Thursday we get this phenomenal pizza and I have 2 slices and a beer. I trim calories from meals around that dinner, and Thursday is a run night, so I'm basically eating back my exercise calories that day.

What does common sense tell you? Also, you can eat pizza and still hit your calorie targets.
I eat pizza most Friday nights.1 -
I've been eating pizza every Saturday night since I discovered the two Ingredient dough. I make a 10 inch pizza and with sauce, cheese and toppings it averages between 500-650 calories for the whole thing. I love it.1

Let's make our own pizza0 -
One slice of most commercial large pizza is 300 calories. Can your calorie budget afford it?
That slice of pizza, if you choose to eat it, will have 2-3 grams of salt in the crust. Drink a lot of extra water afterward to avoid the water retention issue.4 -

One slice of a large Papa John's pepperoni pizza has 805 mg of sodium. The same slice at Pizza Hut has 910 mg. At Domino's, it's 700 mg. One slice of pizza does not have 2-3 grams of sodium in it unless you are adding more salt yourself.3 -
If you want pizza, eat pizza. Just log it and stay in your calorie goals.1

If you are dieting so strictly that you aren’t sure whether pizza will derail your progress then I imagine there are other things you’ve restricted unnecessarily...
Any food can be part of a calorie appropriate, balanced, nutrient dense diet. Cutting out foods that you enjoy is rarely a formula for lasting success.3 -
Give homemade flatbread pizza a try
Unrelated and out of curiosity, is flatbread pizza used because it's more convenient to make than dough? Not a trick question, just that if you have the time, thin crust pizza may have fewer calories than flatbread pizza (depending on the bread) because it can be rolled thinner.1 -
Lean cuisine makes tasty little pizzas that run 300-400 calories, small but tasty0

I saw a pinterest 'recipe' using large portabella mushrooms as the pizza base, then add sauce and toppings. Haven't made it yet but will definitely satisfy the pizza urge for me as I have to avoid gluten and I'm not a fan of the 'fake' crust recipes.1

I had pizza last night. It fit within my calorie goal, so why not? I had a donut the day before that. I'm not on this earth to be punished. Making things "strict" would be unsustainable for me because I hate being miserable. If I want to eat something, I fit it in my calories or I go exercise to earn more.1

Portobella mushroom caps for pizza are so good! I discovered them after I was forced to go gluten free. They're more filling for me, too, and less calories than a traditional pizza crust.0 -

Portebello mushroom crust "pizza" is delicious. I like it with tuna fish. Yum!
