Hey I just wanted to know if I am the only person who took creatine and notice a change in mood. I get really irritable and pissed off for no reason. I thought it wasn’t due to the creatine but I notice a considerable change every time I take it. Thanks

Creatine is also found in meat, so unless you start getting irritable and pissed off after having a large steak it's in your head. If you start lifting harder while on creatine then it's possible that your test is likely elevated and causing the issue.6

It's in your head, my dad said the samething when he took it, but I think it all went in his head too. I haven't noticed anything different and there isn't study showing that creatine can cause such thing.0 -
There are lots of studies on PubMed. Look it up. I've never heard of what you are saying. I have heard of water weight gain due to creatine saturating the muscles with water.2

But... but.. there is powder inside the capsules. So I'm not sure what you're getting at. You may be taking creatine HCL or just a different brand of monohydrate entirely. Bloating/stomach issues can very from brand to brand.
OP. Bro it's in your head. Especially if you take 1 dose and suddenly feel enraged. Creatine takes several weeks to build up an effective level in your system.2 -
I took it for close to a year, never noticed any such thing. To be honest, I didn't notice much of anything from it, either negative or positive.
Creatine isn't steroids. Not even close. It doesn't cause "roid rage".2 -
Creatine is one of the most well studied supplements available. You can access many of these free on line. It’s regarded as safe.

I don’t take it but I have in the past. The only side effect I noticed was water retention beyond that which I was happy to put up with.
Some people can be very sensitive to changes in fluid status, manifesting in irritability. Either via dehydration through poor intake/increased losses or movement of body fluid within and outside cell membranes.
Creatine does alter fluid shift and osmotic pressure. Hypothetically that mechanism could be affecting your moods as the interstitial/extrastitial fluid volume changes.
I am entirely theoreticising. May be there’s something in the many studies on creatinine.
Ultimately though, if you feel something is making you feel off - don’t take it.
As I’m sure you will read if you do look at some of the research findings, creatine supplimentation with bring marginal performance benefits, if any.
ETA: I also was just reading that creatine is thought to affect the ATP in the brain and is has been trialed for bridging to antidepressants for some people. That suggests psychotropic response in at least some people’s
This is just an article but studies are fully reference on the page.
