Don't make this about the D. What little things make you happy? One of mine is getting across a railroad crossing just moments before the gates start to come down. Not today, train.

    When the moon is up during the morning. Especially those few days before the new moon when it’s a small crescent and rose just enough before sunrise that you can see it for an hour or two before it gets too high and the sky gets too light.

    I get satisfaction when I'm cooking an egg and it turns perfectly when I flip it instead of sticking and oozing everywhere. Also when the shell breaks cleanly when I crack it.

    I break the yolk before I flip it, eliminating the potential disappointment factor.
